Derailed was once again an enjoyable read, taking up where Divulge left off.Abby's life seems to be getting back to normal once again. Sharing good times with her friends and family. Plus the love of her ever present boyfriend Eli.
However, something doesn't feel right throughout this story and the twist that emerged from the feeling it gave me was not what I expected. This was something that I really liked about this book. It was not predictable and it's outcome was surprising taking the story in a different direction.
Abby's alliances change and it has brought many more questions up in regards to everyone's motives and who she can completely trust. This kept me intrigued and wanting to know more.
The writing style is good, however the dialogue from Abby in particular seemed to veer away from teenager into someone much older at times and didn't sound right. However her feelings and thoughts still came through clear and was able to pull me in.
The characters have moved along in their development nicely and the deceptiveness of one in particular was a surprising and good addition.
Overall, a good installment in this series and I can't wait to see what happens next.

This is a hard review to write because I don’t want to give anything away about the story or what happens.
I didn’t want to believe it I couldn’t believe it. It hurts my heart. Dang you Eli. I understand his anger but dang you. His anger blinds him stupid stupid boy.
This is a strong book and picks up where two ended. We get the unbelievable, the sad, and the danger once again in Abby’s life. Abby is just as strong as ever and she is loyal too. Her heart took a beating in so many ways in this one but she also grew. She became stronger, more independent and mature. Her loyalty should be commended.
In this book we see Abby in murky territory. Casey and her are in a odd place and he is keeping things from her not because he wants to but because of the situation. Eli is hot and cold. Her dreams are more frightening and there is the unknown danger out there that rears it’s head. Her mom is changing their world as well. All this while trying to live a normal life. By the end Casey and Abby will have you smile.
What I love is that all though you see who the danger is you don’t want to believe it and question it because of how the tale twists things to help you stay with the rose colored glasses. Casey to me stole the show.
He stood by his convictions. Protected Abby and never let her believe she was alone. He kept true to himself as well. Abby grew into a stronger more independent person especially after the danger occurred and the truth came out. Vince feel for him he loses so much by the end of this book.
Each character has strong personalities and gives you a sense of what is happening in the book. That danger lies ahead and many unknowns are there. The writing is dark at times but keeps you twisted and wondering what is next for Abby. the plot is character driven and we see so much happen to each character that it keeps you on your toes. I do wonder what is next for Abby and where they will go next so look forward to the next chapter in this journey for so many scenarios can occur after the way this ended.
